About Our Blends

Our Beard Oils, Butters, and Balms were a labor of love. We have chosen the blends we use because we truly believe they deliver the best results but also the best value available. We use the highest quality carrier oils that are always cold-pressed and/or expeller pressed (chemical free). Cold-pressing involves crushing and pressing to produce the oils, which means no heat or chemicals are uses in order to retain maximum nutrients. We also use the highest quality essential oils and skin safe fragrance oils. Our soaps, washes, conditioners, and fragrances are also SLS/SLES, phthalate, and paraben free. Cruelty free too!

Golden Jojoba Oil (expeller pressed) - Produced in the seed of the Simmondsia chinensis plant, a shrub, which is native to southern Arizona, southern California, and northwestern Mexico. Unrefined jojoba oil appears as a clear golden liquid at room temperature with a slightly nutty odor. Jojoba oil isn't a moisturizer itself; it seals in moisture. It actually preserves and seals in hair shaft moisture. It is non comedogenic.

Argan Oil (cold pressed) - Argan Oil is derived from the kernels of the argan tree. Moisturizes, adds shine, protects hair, protects from breakage and increases elasticity. Helps protect hair from mechanical stress which means it stays looking healthy. The composition of argan oil may help to keep your hair healthy, even with hair styling and using heat tools.

Shea Nut Oil (cold pressed) - Extracted from the nut of the shea tree found in tropical regions of Africa, this dark to golden colored oil is used in various hair care products. It is valued for its abilities to restore and seal moisture, decrease dreaded frizz, eliminate dandruff, and prevent the loss of nutrients. The application of shea nut oil to the roots helps to add volume to the hair while styling.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil (cold pressed) - provides a variety of benefits for skin and hair while being a lightweight and easily absorbed oil. The best benefits include balancing sebum production which keeps things from being too dry or too oily while being higher in fatty acid content than sebum which means it locks in moisture without the wax esters that sebum has. Those long chain fatty acids will also protect hair from heat styling and UV exposure. There are some studies suggesting that Meadowfoam Seed Oil may stimulate hair growth and strengthen follicles over time thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties!

Avocado Oil (expeller pressed) - Avocado oil is a fantastic source of omega-rich oils and antioxidants for healthy hair. Full of bio-active phytochemicals, including vitamin E tocopherols, vitamin D, and carotenoids (lutein and beta carotene) that defend hair from UV damage, environmental aggressors, and pollutants that can make hair feel dry and look brittle. Rich in oleic acid and monounsaturated fats gives avocado oil the ability to penetrate deep into the hair shaft.

Sweet Almond Oil (cold pressed) Almond oil is produced by ripe almonds - typically sweet almonds. We choose to use unrefined sweet almond oil, which means extraction by pressing which produces a superior oil rather than using a heat and chemical extraction process. Almond oils is fantastic for skin health, promotes hair growth, and has antibacterial properties. It also contains a substantial amount of the vitamin B7, or biotin which can promote hair growth.

Vitamin E - A potent scalp antioxidant and hair hydrator that stimulates hair growth and increases hair strength/shine. Vasodilation and vasoconstriction properties meaning increased blood flow which encourages hair growth. The natural antioxidants in Vitamin E may help with maintaining hair growth by preventing the breakdown of existing hair follicles.

Shea Butter - Derived from the nuts of the African shea tree. This hydrator offers moisturizing and softening benefits as well as protection to the hair shaft. Thick, coarse, dry, or damaged hair will love this nourishing butter.

Coconut Oil - This multitasking hydrating oil not only moisturizes but may strengthen the hair as well. Extremely dry and/or curly hair will most benefit from using coconut oil. It is packed with healthy omega-3 fatty acids along with vitamin E, making it an ideal ingredient for treating dry hair.

Beeswax (organic)Beeswax is made by worker honeybees and is the natural wax that makes up the structure of the honeycomb. Moisturizing, barrier-creating, with antibacterial properties, it moisturizes and seals the hair, smoothes flyaways, and assists with hair growth.
