I’m loving this new formula of oil. It’s seemed just slightly thicker than their current formula but not too think that you can feel it sitting on your skin. This formula seems to take to my beard very well, and absorbed better than most oils I use. The scent is a very clean, scent, one that I can wear everyday and my wife loves it!
Five days checking out this new blend from Kris and Tera at True North Beard Co. So what's changed? Gone are Fractionated Coconut Oil and Cold Pressed Grape Seed Oil. Those have been replaced with Meadowfoam Seed Oil. Labelling indicates minor tweaks with the order of the blend. And what's the result? This blend is slightly thicker, yet absorbs more quickly. Once absorbed, it is actually lighter in the beard and leaves my grey beard even softer! The scent of Comp Ready is in the vein of True North's Irish Goodbye, more woody, less floral, and the green notes tend to be darker, whereas Irish Goodbye leans toward the lighter, brighter and cleaner side. It's going to be interesting to see what Kris and Tera have up their sleeves going forward regarding this particular carrier blend! This blend DEFINITELY gets my vote!
Comp Ready is a newer HOF drop from TNBC, The woody base is smooth which is carried by the bright citrus base! The ozone note comes through very softly but is still there! 9/10 with a Puddles seal of approval! ⭐
